Bertani Valpolicella Ripasso is a rich, medium-bodied red wine from the Veneto region of Italy that blends the freshness of standard Valpolicella with the deep complexity of Amarone

The Method: Known as a “Baby Amarone,” young Valpolicella wine is re-fermented (the ripasso or “re-passed” method) on the leftover pressed skins and pomace of Amarone grapes. 
Grape Blend: Typically features around 80% Corvina Veronese, 15% Rondinella, and 5% Merlot (though regional variations like Valpantena use Corvinone). 
Aging: Aged for about 9 months in large French oak barrels, followed by several months in the bottle.
