Grapes were sourced from 6 of the 11 districts with a focus on the southern part of the Paso Robles AVA. The Merlot was aged in French & Eastern European Oak barrels for 18 months. The French barrels provide the traditional cocoa and soft spice notes, while the Eastern European oak adds a more complex, Christmas baking spice.

 

TASTING NOTES: Beautiful aromas of ripe black cherry, dried herbs, and baking spice. On the palate, the wine is smooth with elegant structure. Dominant flavors of raspberry and rich dark fruit bring the aroma to life supported by chocolatey, oaky undertones. The wine is full-bodied with fine-grained tannins on the finish.
