Fontanafredda Barolo is a classic, structured red wine made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes in the Piedmont region of Italy (specifically anchored around the historical estate in Serralunga d’Alba). 
Key Characteristics & Profile
  • Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo.
  • Alcohol Content: Typically around 14%. 
  • Aromas & Flavors: Features notes of small red fruits, dried rose petals, violets, underbrush, leather, and spice. 
  • Palate: Fresh and structured with firm, silky tannins and a long, persistent red-fruit finish. 
  • Aging Process: Usually ferments in stainless steel/vats followed by multi-year aging in large oak casks (Slavonian or French) and bottle aging.
